The Crown

from Pectus Excavatum by Sentinel

/

lyrics

You wear the crown of roses, upon your head,
King of this barren wasteland, left for the dead,
The seeds won’t grow anymore, the soil is cursed;
Home of forgotten memories, tainted from birth,

This is where my enemies live, they hold the ropes,
To the gates of this rancid caste, the grave of hope;
Your subjects grovel in the, stink of my grief
Hoping that my mind won’t, find a moment of relief.

I hope to find, a way to stop this tyrant,
A way to free my body and my soul,
So beg for mercy, pray for forgiveness, because my rage will lose control.

You failed to hear my warning, my many words.
My heart has become so restless, it tells your curse
Seeking vengeance and torture, upon your crown
The power swiped from your hands, bringing you down.

Your rule is at an end now, as the lion roars
Your kingdom brought to its knees, under my sword
To the gallows now I send you, unto your death
I hope God finds it in his heart, to let you savour your last breath.

I hope to find, a way to stop this tyrant,
A way to free my body and my soul,
So beg for mercy, beg for forgiveness, because my rage will lose control.

I hope to find, a way to stop this tyrant,
A way to free my body and my soul,
So beg for mercy, beg for forgiveness, because my rage will lose control.
